Everything from the beginning: No Game No Life: Zero

Hey all. Yes, I have finally watched this show after a long wait.

Light Novel Volume Six adaptation. 100mins runtime. Prequel to the main series.

The storyline is great. The straight-up to the history storyline did throw me off because the twist is pretty fast to catch. But slowly, you will find your way back because pacing can be a little slow at the start. Pacing was a little unstable to the point that I feels like a 2.5hr film, it feels really long. This show was so serious at the beginning that some people might think they will not see any comedy in the movie, but slowly, it will appear and quite unexpectedly. The comedy pretty much goes back to the good ol’ days of normal sexual alluring jokes. The strategy planning in the movie can become so complex that even I took quite a bit of time to catch up. The climax did get pretty damn serious and the twists can get pretty entertaining. Ending is pretty much the world we see in the main series. It does get pretty damn heartwrenching if you put a bit of dedication into watching the film. Overall, this movie pretty much shows how a great story can still be told in a matter of 1hr 40mins, its great, I love it.

Animations by Madhouse. The signature oversaturated art that this show employs are only up at the end, everything else looked normal. The combat scenes was probably the most epic since like UBW? I think. It really shows what Madhouse are capable of, when they want to try. Character designs remains.

Music is great. ED was incredible. BGMs fitted the at atmosphere nicely.

VAs are pretty much the same, but with a few new people. Suwabe Junichi, Horie Yui, Iguchi Yuka, Noto Mamiko. They are all pretty lit, I love it.

Score:

Story: 9/10

Art: 9/10

Music: 8/10

VAs: 9/10

Highly recommended for NGNL fans. Kind of tells you a story about how a;; of these games things started.

My next anime movie will be Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miru ka? Yoko kara Miru ka?, which will be in cinemas at the end of the month for me, so stay tuned for that.

Meanwhile, if you are new and enjoy reading my content, follow this blog, Twitter and Twitch! I do gaming livestreams too.
