I got a C for Art and Craft: GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class

Hey all, looks like I managed to fill the week with posts, surprisingly. Finally finished this show even tho its only a cour. I blame my incompetence.

Manga origin. Completed in 2015, accumulated 7 volumes. Anime lasted for 12 eps and an OVA.

Storyline is just a bunch of episodic yet educational materials. Comedy was well-played and the characters were extremely lovable. Character development isn’t really a key-point of the show so we can ignore that. There isn’t any climax, so this show is basically here to waste your time but it was entertaining to watch the show. Comedy really reflects on the good ol’ 2000s anime back in the day. The director also directed Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Nekogami Yaoyorozu, so it’s a guaranteed fun. the OVA is just an extra episode of fun. Love it to bits. It’s so underrated its great. Overall, learning can be fun, if the show can pull it off and this show does it.

Animations by AIC. Quality is subpar but its an 2009 show, can’t really complain. And also this show doesn’t really put their art element seriously, so no point providing extremely high quality animations.

Music is great. OP was decent. ED was splitted into 5 versions, each version is a different song and I love Horie Yui’s version the most. BGMs were great.

The cast is great. Tomatsu Haruka, Nazuka Kaori, Tokunaga Ai, Horie Yui, Sawashiro Miyuki, Kanda Akemi, Koshimizu Ami, Konishi Katsuyuki, Naitou Ryo, Tsukui Kyousei, Minami Omi, Takayama Minami, Nishimura Chinami. They are all excellent. I really liked them all. Tomatsu Haruka’s voice is probably something new to me. Nazuka Kaori being the badass is great too.

Score:

Story: 8/10

Art: 7/10

Music: 7/10

VAs: 9/10

Highly recommended for the laughs and pretty educational material for arts.

Thats all for now. Next post is probably a little surprise… Be sure to follow me on Twitch, Twitter and Instagram! I do gaming live streams often and juggle my blog at the same time!
