Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner: Koufuku Graffiti

Hey all, more reviews.

Originated from a manga, spanning 7 volumes. 2012 to 2016. Anime aired for just 12 episodes.

This show I would call, the very laidback and chill version of Shokugeki no Souma. As the manga is a 4-koma, so its kind of normal for the show to move rather chill. The story pretty much flatlines with minimal escalation but the eye candy is the food, well, its the main theme. The show is very heartwarming, lighthearted and pretty pure. Character development is pretty nice, character personalities are cute. Ending is pretty much like a normal read the manga ending. But overall, it’s great, its just great. For people who wants escalation might as well watch Shokugeki no Souma instead. Okada Mari’s script with Shinbo Akiyuki’s direction is quite a great combination.

Animations by Shaft. Headtilts EVERYWHERE, nah just kidding, its there, but not at Monogatari’s level. Character designs are great, everyone is just perfect.  The show’s major selling point is the way they animate the food, it looks extremely dreamy. One can salivate or get hungry just by looking at it.

Music is great, OP and ED were nice. BGMs felt pretty fluffy. It’s just great.

The cast list is a pretty nice list. Satou Rina, Ogame Asuka, Komatsu Mikako, Kobayashi Yuu, Nonaka Ai, Iguchi Yuka, Chisuga Haruka, Watanabe Akeno, Nagatsuma Juri, Nishi Asuka, Matsuki Miyu, Hirohashi Ryou. Sato Rina as main character was a great choice, and a rare one too. Everyone were great.

Score:

Story: 8.5/10

Art: 9/10

Music: 8/10

VAs: 9/10

Highly recommended if you lost your appetite and want a change of pace.
