These are men btw. Don’t drool.
Heya, round 2 of Shoujo posts for the week. Thanks for the support for my Shirayukihime post, its overwhelming. That post is reaching top post of the month already. Let’s get this out of the way. And yes, this is my first shoujo anime.
Originated from a manga, completed in 5 volumes and its from 2002-2006. Anime aired for a short 12 ep. If I recalled correctly, they did adapt the entire manga, not surprised since its only 5 volumes.
I watched this one when I was a kid, so I find the crossdressing fascinating and started to dream of myself being a bishounen.
Not kidding. Now that I watched it, its feels very cringy, but hey, it takes a lot of pride and shame to crossdress to this extent. The storyline for me is pretty well done. Every ep were pretty close to perfection and kinda hard to find loopholes in the plot. The storyline mostly pretty lighthearted, but sometimes there are pretty heavy flashbacks. They are pretty loyal to the manga storyline too. The thing is that the pacing was pretty quick to the point that 12 eps fly past pretty quick. Well, it can’t be helped since the manga was that short too. But maybe expand the story a little would have helped. The ending is pretty inconclusive, quite a cliffhanger. Overall, I liked it when I was a kid, but now, its cringy, but I still love it.
Animations by Studio Deen. Character design were really good, it does reflect its Shoujo nature and the animations were decent for a 2006 show.
Music were fine. OP and ED were ok. BGMs were pretty lighthearted too.
Cast list is pretty damn legit. Fukuyama Jun, Park Romi, Kakihara Tetsuya, Kamiya Hiroshi, Toriumi Kousuke, Terashima Takuma, Miyashita Eiji, Hoshi Soichiro, Nojima Kenji, Takeuchi Junko, Hayamizu Risa, Higuchi Chieko, Aoki Sayaka. All of them were fine.
Recommended for shoujo regulars. Mainly crossdressing and some minor shonen-ai.
