Some might know, some might not know, mostly my stalkers, that I have hit 15k episodes, in exact numbers, its already 15590 episodes.
Time to continue the sadness streak from 2 days ago, but this time I will cover on the music.
Ayana – Last Regrets 2006 Ver (Kanon)
I personally prefer this ver over the original because of its more high pitch notes which feels more of a sad wintery song, just listen it back to back. In fact Ayana pushed more of her vocal powess into this over original
Lia also sang her version with Ayana. If you dunno her, she’s your Angel Beats OP singer.
This song has lingered me for years and it stills feel fresh and addictive despite it having a bitter meaning behind.
Lia – My Soul, Your Beats (Angel Beats), Bravely You (Charlotte), Tori no Uta (Air), Toki o Kizamu Uta, Chiisana Tenohira (Clannad After Story), Kizunairo (Fortune Arterial)
Talking about Lia, she has her own collection of sentimentalist songs. This is gotta be one of her best.
This has to be it. She really pushed her vocals hard on this one, and it keeps creeping into my feels, even after so many years.
Bravely You was nice, but wasn’t as powerful and deep.
I don’t really know how to describe this song, it feels melancholic of course, but it has quite a deep meaning behind this song, just like the show itself, fitting it perfectly.
Toki o Kizamu Uta was a strong candidate for saddest song of all time, but I still think that its not deep enough. Maeda Jun will never run out of ideas.
Chiisana Tenohira is just tragic, that Dango piano intro sequence, it just mess me up.
Now for the vampire show.
Wow, she really has a deep library, at this rate it will be an artist feature. Time to move on to the next one.
Veil – Akai Yakusoku (Fortune Arterial)
I bet nearly none of you have heard this one before, because Fortune Arterial wasn’t really well received. This is not a BGM, the vocals comes after a minute plus. I gotta say, its one of the most calming song I have ever heard so far. You may think “Hey That Sounds Like Lia!”, but…
Veil is composed by Visual Art’s Lia, Aoi Tada, karuta, SOLASHITA YU⇒KA, REI (Junksystem.), Misuzu Togashi, hirona and sunao.
Other supporting members include: MiKA (Daisy × Daisy), JURIE, waka, Yui Yamamoto and Kaori Omura.
Most of them had no real experience in the music business, except for some trance collaboration/anisong projects before they joined Veil, and can be considered to be debut singers, with the exception of Lia, Aoi Tada and karuta.

Togashi Misuzu voiced your wimpy Yukiteru and irritating Origami by the way. Good to know.
Uehara Rena – Todokanai Koi’13, Sayonara no Koto, After All ~Tsuzuru Omoi~ ’13, Closing’13 (White Album 2)
WHAT SO MANY WA2 SONGS? Yeah, its soundtracks are pretty damn legit.
This is the 2013 ver, recomposed for the sake of freshness to fit in the anime. I prefer this over the original because of its violin sequences, and slight modification in the main chords too, and I think Uehara Rena pushed more on the vocals on this ver too.
Original ver from the VN itself.
This is Yonezawa Madoka ver, whom she voiced Ogiso Setsuna in both the anime and VN. I liked her vocals tho, if they made a ’13 ver out of her vocals, it feels quite deep too.
You guys must be asking why this song, well, as many know WA2 scarred my heart quite deep with its romance stuff, and this alone can make me cry already.
It feels so lonely… yet bright, and very cold too… for some reason. Another heart scarring song. Will not go furthur, its too good to resist.
This has a slight bitter after taste. Its also pretty addictive.
And it finally comes to a close… at least for this part.
Ray – sign, Kisetsu no Shutter (Ano Natsu de Matteiru)
Isn’t this a happy song? I did say bitter as the criteria, for some reason it feels quite intensively bitter. I don’t know why.
This too??? Yeah, also bitter for me to swallow.
Kayano Ai, Tomatsu Haruka, Hayami Saori – secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ (10 years after ver.) (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.)
This has actualy 4 vers, but I couldn’t find the rest. If you ask me, memento mori ver sounds the most tragic, but all of them have their fair share of bitterness of life. Will never forget this song.
eufonius – Megumeru (Clannad), Namida no Kioku (True Tears)
I prefer the original over the 2007 ver, because I think the remix felt a bit unnecessary for such a show.
This one is a bit exclusive, unless you get the blurays
This song was played entirely during the dialogueless-yet-meaningful bluray-exclusive epilogue. It feels extremely deep. Damn it they know how to strike hard.
Rie fu – Anata ga Koko iru Riyuu (D.GrayMan)
It feels sorta depressing and dark, with a pinch of bitter.
Stephanie – Changin’ (D.GrayMan)
Woah, its so powerful that its extremely sad and tragic.
ELISA – ebillient future piano ver. (ef~a tale of melodies), euphoric field (ef ~a tale of memories~)
Actually someone remixed it to match with the original OP, it feels extremely smooth, speaking of the piano ver, it feels deep, and depressing.
Heres the original
This song is just deep, in fact, I prefer this over ebullient future. About both songs, I don’t mind both languages, in fact, her English ver feels more deep, maybe because you get the meaning over the Japanese, but the Japanese mean exactly the same thing as the English ver. Now I’m not so sure why now.
Ok this wraps up my rather lengthy music post. There is always more, a never ending list of devastating songs. Hopefully this massive list can also somewhat make up to the lack of music posts for the past few months.
