Since when does monsters get so ecchi: Rosario + Vampire

Good morning! My second completed anime in my backlog.

Originated from a manga, lasted for 10years and in 24 volumes. Anime lasted for 2 seasons of 13 eps.

Storyline is great at first, the slowly enters the realm of generic, annoying mess of harem, but with monsters. I kinda love the mess for some reason. The story runs for 2 seasons with a bit of action and ended up nowhere still. No OVAs whatsoeva, but the entire show is made up of fanservice, so there really isnt a need for an OVA. Ending didnt felt like an ending for me. Overall, its just a come-and-go storyline which pretty much is like how To Love-ru is doing.

Animations done by Gonzo, wasnt good, wasnt bad. Character designs were excellent.

Music was ok. I didnt really like all the OPs and EDs, but BGMs were nice.

VAs were a nice list. Kishio Daisuke, Mizuki Nana, Fukuen Misato, Koyama Kimiko, Kugimiya Rie, Chiba Saeko, Saito Chiwa, Seki Tomokazu, Hiyama Nobuyuki, Yukino Satsuki, Hisakawa Aya, Yukana, Inoue Kikuko, Koyasu Takehito, Asumi Kana, Minaguchi Yuko. All of them not bad, but I really think someone can do better than Mizuki Nana in voicing Moka. Kugimiya came as a surprise for me, but her voice slowly became more and more deep as the show progresses and I didnt really like it, but good effort tho.

Score:

Story: 8/10 (S1), 7.5/10 (S2)

Art: 8/10

Music: 7/10 (S1), 6.5/10 (S2)

VAs: 8/10

Its up to you whether you want to watch it or not, but do not have any high expectations with this one. You are off better keep chasing Nisekoi or even To Love-ru.

Will post another one in the afternoon

  1. I remember watching R+V back when I was in 8th or 9th grade and I actually enjoyed it. Don’t ask me why. However, I tried picking up the second season last year. I nope’d pretty hard.
