Breathtaking: Air

Sorry for not posting anything for so long, been trying hard to finish up on the ones being left behind for damn long.

Originated for Visual Arts/Key eroge visual novel, which has been pretty famous for its heavy feels and branching plot. Anime runs for 13 eps but technically 12 because the last ep is just a recap with 2 OVA eps.

Storyline is good, it progresses smoothly. But for some reason the entire show felt pretty depressing and the comedic acts dont really boost the mood, its all overwhelmed by the depressing atmosphere. But i love it. The anime goes by the character story arcs format and its done pretty nicely, without the feeling of any abrupt plot changes or episodic. The ending felt pretty heavy but the feels didnt manage to overflow my tears. The feels can be pretty hard to comprehend so people might actually dont get the story and the feels, but can be solved by doing a few rewatches, luckily i feel like rewatching, so imma do that over the next few weeks. There is also a period of time where it became pretty historic by going back to the Feudal era Japan, that knocked me off guard because i have never seen Key doing this before, but it does link with the main story so dont worry about any confusion about the plot. Thank you Ishihara Tatsuya, best director of KyoAni.

Art is done by KyoAni, surprisingly the art is pretty well done for a 2005 anime, but as for me, it took me a while to get used to it, because its my first time i seen KyoAni did this time of artwork. But slowly, anyone will fall in love with the quality, because you can feel the dedication.

Music is well done, OP and ED were in sync with the anime. Nothing much to say

VAs is a pretty well known list. Ono Daisuke, Kawakami Tomoko, Yuzuki Ryoka, Hisakawa Aya, Toma Yumi, Tamura Yukarin, Tsuda Kenjiro, Nishimura Chinami, Inoue Kikuko, Konno Hiromi. All of them excellent job. Nothing much to complain.

Score:

Story: 8/10

Art: 8.5/10

Music: 9/10

VAs: 9/10

Highly recommended. Imma watch Kanon soon and then imma stop watching such animes to prevent any more depression. IT SUCKS. First impressions and some OVAs tomorrow.
