Good afternoon again. Time for another review.
Originated from a LN, runs for 10 vols and has ended 3 years ago. The anime runs for 2 seasons of 12 eps and a 4ep OVA to end the series.
The story is nice, it felt lighthearted and the comedy isnt very heavy, it felt light but still pretty decent. I love it a lot. S1 was just the beginning but it doesnt feel bland, then S2 came and starts to climax, then the OVA came and pushed it over the limits. Dont treat the ending for S1 and S2 as proper endings as they are all linked altogether. The OVA ending brought the whole series to a proper closing and its just a happy ending without any heavy depressing feels, at all, in fact you will also feel happy for the couple. The main reasons why you will laugh is Haruka’s density and Haruka’s father being even more stupid, but dont worry, it wont feel repetitive. Well, the entire series felt pretty classy.
Art is all done by Studio Barcelona, now is known as Diomedea. Pretty well done, decent, nothing much to complain, as the series do not need much quality to express how good it is. Even with quality, it wont really change or improve much. But the OVA’s quality is slightly increased, felt a bit better to watch.
Music are pretty well done. BGMs are nice and classy, while the OP and ED is contrast to its classy feel and went straight to the rocker route instead.
VAs are a list of pretty well veterans. Noto Mamiko, Hatano Wataru, Matsuki Miyu, Sato Rina, Toyosaki Aki, Kugimiya Rie, Hisakawa Aya, Tachiki Fumihiko, Ueda Kana, Shimizu Kaori, Takamoto Megumi, Mizuhara Kaoru, Igarashi Hiromi, Yahagi Sayuri, Hikasa Yoko, Iguchi Yuka, Nabatame Hitomi, Majima Junji, Kikuchi Kokoro. Love them all, and Mamiko’s classic calming voice.
Besto gurl? Definitely Shiina, her name is enough to attract me. Haruka too classy and shy for me, and i dont want a father-in-law like him. Haruka’s mother is a honorable mention.
Story: 8/10 (S1), 8.5/10 (S2), 9.5/10 (OVA)
Art: 8/10 (S1, S2), 8.5/10 (OVA)
Music: 7.5/10 (S1), 8/10 (S2, OVA)
Another highly recommended series, but this can be watched more seriously, if you looking for some legit romance with some lighthearted comedy.
